Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,792 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,792 | Since the lower bolt holes of a truck transmission are threaded, you'll need to use bolts and nuts there when installing the 5 speed. Some people use an aluminum spacer between the T-5 and the bell housing to avoid having to shorten the pilot bearing snout and lengthen the clutch splines on the input shaft. A fine spline clutch disc is also required unless you swap to a Jeep input shaft that has the same splines as a stovebolt clutch.
