Right now it is at my parents farm, but I hope to get it to my place soon and start working on it. It's in pretty good shape, doors aren't rusted through and still has most of its paint, no dents, and it was running a couple of years ago. The serial number is P54A 003999. How do I find out how many were made that year and how can I tell what size engine is in it?

I recently got a free, engineless '54 4400 that I'm parting out. To find your engine number, find the flat casting on your block, between the starter and the distributor. Clean it with a wire brush and then use a little fine grit sand paper to highlight the numbers. Post what you find here and soon you'll get all your questions answered.
