All the shops I trust are behind on their work so it's 1-2 months to get my truck in for the brakes. I just got new 22.5 radials mounted on single pc budd wheels and now I am ready to get the truck able to stop. The truck has a 6.0 LS and 4L80E. I have the master cylinder and wheel cylinders and brake lines. The current issue is that the fluid just stays in the master cylinder, doesn't run down into the lines. Pedal goes to the floor and I have zero braking. What could be the issue.

If the plunger in the master doesn’t go back far enough to get a charge of fluid, nothing will happen, I presume you mean ‘new’ lines.

Did you bench bleed the MC?

Are you following the shop manual on how to bleed the brake system? Do you get fluid out of the wheel cylinder bleeders when bleeding the system?

Do you still have the Hydrovac Booster in place?

Have you adjusted the brake shoes?

JApache That master cylinder should squirt out a powerful stream of fluid, get it in your vice with a line going right back into it. Get it to recirculate there, put it on the truck engine not running. I then put aclear hose on a drilled thru bleeder bring it around the truck and let it squirt into the master cylinder. You can clear the air out then !! Not much mess or loss that way. You can see what your getting,if dirty let it go on the ground and add more. then follow shop manuel directions engine off for all of that.
