hello all working on1954 chevy 3100 1/2 ton any advice on putting those step treads on running boards should they be centred in the door opening or a little forward ? Any advise. THANK YOU IN Advance !!!
I cut and fitted brite tread aluminum, pretty much the full length of the door. Stayed with the contour of the running boards, used stainless fasteners on it, (but then again, I kinda overkilled using stainless fasteners on my whole truck).
Yeah, lets weaken the running board support by cutting half of it away!!
They make glues now that would hold those strips he used on nicely.
