on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 28 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 28 | Had a 1954 235 rebuilt for my truck. Everything replaced, rebuilt or new. Runs great, except, when cold, or when mashing the gas at higher rpm, she hesitates and coughs. Fuel lines and filters good, everything good, except the sputtering at higher rpms. Carb adjustment? Timing? What first? The carb was rebuilt along with the motor. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,

It sounds like you're getting "point bounce" at high RPM, resulting in erratic ignition timing. If you're running some sort of aftermarket electronic ignition, all bets are off! Jerry
