I bought a matched set of lock tumblers for my 1949 3600 (12V conversion, 261 engine, SM420, floor starter). When I pulled the ignition switch out to change its tumbler, it was a 1970's generic NAPA switch with a non-changeable tumbler.
Looks like there's two options for reproduction switches: one with tabs that also requires a mounting bracket, and one with no tabs that uses a screw on bezel and comes with an a little lamp inside. My truck doesn't have a bracket (either never did or was thrown away when the prior owner put in the NAPA part), so the switch with no tabs is probably the way to go?
Is there a modern equivalent that's available? Everything I'm finding so far either has the starter switch included or it won't accept the tumbler that will match my key set for ignition, door and glove box.
