Doing a search here hasn't really helped much so I thought I'd ask directly if anyone has experience with using chrome vinyl wrap. It looks like it might work well and I think I could prep the grill pieces in the truck without having to remove the grill. Any comments? A couple of years ago I flipped a 2008 Honda SI and used black carbon fiber vinyl wrap on a grille center bar, the outside mirrors and a few other pieces to accent the midnight black pearl paint. First time I ever did such a project and surprisingly they came out awesome. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do it and used a heat gun to stretch and shrink the vinyl. I was surprised that it was not real difficult.
From what I’ve researched, the chrome comes out really good. Keep us updated if you do try!

That's what I'm gonna use on my bumpers. WAY cheaper than shipping them down to a chrome shop and back up here. Thanks for the idea.

Absolutely and the surface needs to be smooth and clean as the vinyl will follow whatever it is covering.
