It appears to referenced wrong, the truck is either a 54 or 55 first series. Gorgeous truck though and no reserve.

The interior dash appears to be 1950 ... Mecum says the vin is 1950 ... just never noticed anyone swapping those very distinct grills before. Tis gorgeous though.

If you look thru the pictures, you'll find one where you can read the windshield decals (backwards) saying it's a first series 1955.

Why would they list it as 1950 when that decal is on the windshield? I thought at first that it might be a typo, but I read the entire text and it says 1950 there also in a couple places.
The interior dash is 1954-55 also.

Flat bed top rails, one piece windshield, dash, clock, grill, push button door handles; if that's a 1950 I'm Bill Gates and live in a frame house on blocks to fool people.

Too much chrome on grille, 55 1st hood emblems, clock wrong place in dash...and I just quickly skimmed pictures. Very pretty but much is wrong.

Looks like it has the embossed bed sides. Isn't that a '53 only feature?

If the title says 1950, there is a serious problem.

The embossed bed sides were original,I believe the bed sides that some vendors have are flat on the sides

Everything about that truck appears 1955. I think it's just a typo.

Is it me, or does the drivers side running board appear a little bent?
And are those captains bars above the starter?

Nice truck. It'll be interesting to see what it brings.

I reached out to Mecum about this truck listing and they sent back, "You are correct, it is a 1955. We had it accidentally in as a 1950, and the VIN does show its a 1955".

Mystery solved!

I agree it appears to be a 1955. For that much money, they could have included the horn.
