I'm sure this is tried & true, but in my head it seems tight, has everyone set their valves with this cam to the letter as stated in the directions? And not had any problems? O.K really dumb question #2, if I set the valves .005 tighter, I will have the intake at .009 & the exhaust at .011 correct? Thanks in advance. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 23 | Yes, that is correct. The cam will wear some during the initial break in, faster then than at any other time, thats the reason for less lash to start with. After you go through the break in period go back and check the lash again. I'd check the lash a couple more times after you run it the first couple times. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | After break in, always check the lash hot.
