Has anyone had any luck creating a good curvature bend in a rubber hose using heat? I'd like to know if there is a practical method of doing this without it crimping up. Thanks.

Use 45 degree or 90 degree plastic barbed elbows to make turns- - - -the PCV hoses with bends in them are molded at the factory. Molded elbows are available, however, but you'd need barbed splice nipples to use them.

I'll probably start searching for a connector with an angle that will fit. I've seen a YouTube with someone attempting to bend one by hovering it over a candle but I think it would wreck the integrity of the hose. There's no guarantee it would keep its shape, but it might start out looking like you want.

I sleeved a piece of soft copper tubing inside the middle of the straight hose and bent it to shape...it's been in there for 40 years. That method might work for you.
