Parade was at 1;00. Looked around to find my belt dressing, no luck. Full can of Walgreens Sun Screen. Did not work at all on two of my little Irish grandchildren so I put it on the shelf, don't know why. Put some on the belt instant quiet. Bracket still needs to be adjusted later, super quiet plus after running for 2 hours made my radiator hoses very shiny and appears to be permanent. See what happens in a few months of Central Florida heat. Looks good and no squeak. Go figure. Doc.

I have no clue how but I did watch a mechanic in the shop I worked in as a young fellow use it. Shut the squall right up.

Mike B Indeed it does remove paint. The guys in the Army shop I ran years ago used brake fluid to remove the primer from replacement flywheels, clutch pressure plates and brake drums. Everything was shipped in primer to prevent rust in storage.

They expected them to wash that off with GI soap and water. He said they learned how to get carbon tetrachloride that will really cut it ! Years later he was so shaky we had to carry his coffee down in frontto the seating.He would then brace -up and drink it ! The dry cleaning industry had to really scramble to find a different way.

My dad was still using it to clean small parts when I was a kid
Maybe that’s why I shake so bad, I could have been exposed to it many times as a kid
I need to find a proper disposal place for it and a few other liquid disasters that have collected over the years.
