I would like to go 3 inches in the rear...
I still have my torque tube...
will I get away with this without effecting the driveline adversely?
Or should I go with a 2 inch drop?

You might be able to pop out a couple spring leafs.
You might do a "search" and find more specific info.

In my reckless youth I lowered the back of my '49 Chev fastback 6" by stacking 2" blocks on top of 4" blocks using extra long U-bolts. It also had a torque tube, no problems. The car still had a mean rake with homemade dropped spindles and 2 coils cut in the front end. If you ever have the misfortune of having a flat while driving you don't want that u-bolt catching the ground first. | | |
