Have a 1949 1/2 ton I've got a fresh air heater in great shape, but no cable to operate the fresh air door. Can anyone give me the length of the cable,and maybe a picture where it mounts under the dash ? Thank you

Brad Allen is probably your guy to answer this. He has a ton of pictures of heaters HERE.

[on edit] Here's another of Brad's photos showing a fresh air heater installed. Looks like the control cable is in the hole punched in the dash toward the right side, and the valve control just below that and clamped on the bottom of the dash.

Here is how the cable mounts, there are holes in this location under the dash for this purpose. This is a 7k mile fire truck.

I know a couple vendors carry them, they come a bit long so you can trim to fit. I don’t have one handy to measure.
