The insides of the wheels were a little rough - they would not hold air without tubes. Cooper Tire LT215/85R16
My 1954 3104 (with excellent original wheels) has radials with no tubes. GoodYear Wrangler HT LT215/85R16
Both sets of wheels are original.
Both hold air and drive nicely. | | | | Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 1,094 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2016 Posts: 1,094 | I have a 54 with original 16" rims. I also used a LT215/85/16 on my spare and it fits and looks like the BIAS PLY 23 WHITEWALL FIRESTONE VINTAGE 650-16 I bought from Performance Plus Tires. By the way, if you decide to by vintage tires/white walls performanceplustire.com is in California and they carry the exact same tires as Coker except if you are buying a set of 4 they don't charge shipping. That can save you a lot.

I have tubes in them with new Coker 16 x 650 tires. Phak 1 gave me the site to get 16 inch wheels that I can put the hub cap spring clips on. However the rims are 6" wide instead of 4" or 5". Is this too big of a stretch. There are 16 x 750 tires available but I already have bought 16 inch wheels and new tires off a newer GMC. I'm getting new tire poor. Doc.
Currently making 1954 3100 better than new and Genetics
