In my chevy shop manual it tells about the application of "Goodyear Pliabond #3" to the mating surfaces of the flywheel and crankshaft flange prior to bolting them together. I have never seen any of this "Goodyear Pliabond #3" in my local autoparts stores. What would be the modern equivalent to "Goodyear Pliabond #3"?

I don't think I can shed must light, but Pliobond(sp) is a contact cement.

I installed my flywheel to crank dry, then used Red Loctite on the threads of the 6 flywheel bolts. You can use the 12 point SBC flywheel bolts if you need new ones. Don't forget the lock plates if you've got a good set, torque bolts to 60 FT/Lbs.
