Check your dimmer switch. Unplug the connector and clean the contacts and plug it back in.

Justhorsenround - I actually replaced the dimmer switch and cleaned all the contacts. It has been converted from a 6 to 12V and all wiring looks good.

Latest update. I climbed under, over, and in-between to check all wiring, fittings, and fuses and still no lights. At this point, I think I'm going to order a new light switch and try that. I already replaced the dimmer switch.

If you lost brake lights, those don't go thru the headlight switch or the dimmer switch. The circuit up to the brake light switch should be hot all the time. Work your way upstream from the headlight switch with a test light. Check at each terminal and when you get the test light to light up, your problem is between that terminal and the previous one you tested.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.

KLHansen Thanks for offering up some tips. Forgive my ignorance with anything electrical, but could you explain further about working upstream from the headlight switch

If you're losing power, start checking for voltage at the battery, then at the starter, then at the ammeter, (working your way downstream) and when you stop getting voltage, back up one terminal and check the wire between there and the last one you checked.
When I said working upstream, you could go that way too, checking voltage at the item that isn't working, headlights in your case, and back toward the battery.
