buckaroo01 'Bolter B Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 244 Saint Albans, Missouri	I located the serial number on my engine which I was told was a 1955 235 cu in. Is this correct and is it a 1st or 2nd series engine. I bounced around google and didn’t locate it. I attached a picture if I did it right. tclederman Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Jarvisburg, NC, USA	F55y y (actually, it is a Y) = the series Type (size/model of truck) F55Y F = Flint, MI engine plant 55 = 1955 (first series, if it is a truck engine) Second Series 1955 trucks would have had a year code of 255. 1955-1st series truck codes 1955 car engine codes Maybe another member knows what the "trailing "y" ("Y") designates as a series Type? It has hydraulic lifters.
