original seals are leather pressed in metal. there are several of the vintage parts locations that have them. I wanted neoprene so I went to napa and they were able to mic and find some but were special order and were going to run me near $50.00 ea.! went to local bearing/seal and hydraulic hose supply house and they found CR seals SKF 18258 that ran me around $12.00. as for bearings, they are ball bearings, again available from our vintage guys, but there are modern roller bearing with race kits available to fit and replace the originals. tempted but haven't done it. check prices, some are ridiculus, others more reasonable.

oldmemoriescc,

Bearing and seal originals and upgrade replacemnts are easily looked up in a bearing and seal catalog if you have their ID, OD and width. There are many. many bearing sellers in LA and I've found that they get new catalogs at frequent intervals and are happy to give customers their old catalogs. Now I can look bearing and seal numbers at home.

For my '36 PU I found all the bearings and seals I needed in LA, no sweat. Also made in USA bearings are out there so it's possible to avoid manure made in China.

A lot of the bearing manufacturers have their bearing specs online.
