Excluding Patrick's as they are not around anymore, recommend a vendor? Did you also purchase the installation/assembly kit i have seen some of the vendors offer? Other than the gearing and associated seals, bearings, ect. was there anything else you should have/would have/wound up having to purchase to make things easier or more complete of a process. I will be installing it in a 46 1/2 ton pu.

Chevs of the 40's has the 3.55:1 Ring Pinion Set, a bit less than the other two vendor's regular prices. I've not used this ring/pinion set from Chevs, but other parts I've sourced through Chev's have been fine, FWIW. BFH
Dial indicator with stand
torque wrench
pipe
You will need two types of pipe. Listed in my Tech Tip above is a pipe to drive the bearing onto the pinion shaft (1-1.5"?) and a longer one to drive out the okie bushing as shown in the tip.
The most important part of this project is attention to detail. Read the install instructions, and the TechTip ask questions.

Will be running a 261 and probably a year correct 4 speed trans.
