Was wondering if a inline filter should be between the tank and pump or pump and carb. This does not have the glass sight filter at the carb. What electric pump are you using? The one I have on my fire engine is a Faucet and I've had good success with them, but I still carry and NIB pump with me at all times. I rigged the electric connections at the pump with pull apart connectors and have the new pump with a connector already installed making on the road replacement fast and easy. They will ALL fail at some point... Why aren't you using the mechanical pump on the 235? The orig pump was gone when i got the truck but it had a electric from a car hooked up but badly. so i mounted a cube pump back by the pass door on the frame . If period-correctness isn't a concern, I like to use Holley regulator 12-804 (adjustable 1-4 psi), which is relatively inexpensive and works well with electric fuel pump setups, and would solve your "flooding" issue. With this type of setup, a small mechanical fuel pressure gauge near the carb is nice to have, and there is an extra port on the Holley regulator that can be used for one.
