As happens with us guys, a little 52 hardtop caught my eye and I said fairwell to the truck.....now, I need help. The car has a 235, Powerglide....runs super...starts super....but its developed a glitch...and I'm not much of a mechanic. At an idle, when I press hard on the gas, it stalls...if I feather the throttle, it takes right off....runs great going down the road. Can anybody point me in the right direction? shut the engine down, take off the air cleaner or top and while looking into the carb, give the throttle a quick jab. If you don't see a stream of fuel come out, the acc. pump is the problem. | | |
