I have looked through all of the docs I can find on Tim's site and others, and I'm not seeing the brown color for the door panel frames, and I think the retainer button heads as well. Can anyone point me to the color name and or code if it's been located?

Pickup truck?

What is/are the Interior color/colors in your truck - not the name/names, the apparent/appearance color/colors?

Brownish
Grayish
Etc

Is the dash all one color?

Hi Tim,

Yes it's just the single tone interior of the 54 pickup. 3604. It's the beige ( Pearl Beige ). The windlacing appears to be the normal greyish color. Headliner appears to have been painted in place with the rest of the interior, and the sun visor matches very closely. The seat was reupholstered by the PO with what I'm guessing was a kit from one of usual vendors. It does not have the correct pattern but I think the fabric is pretty close.
I will shoot some pictures of the interior of the cab and post them up. It's a decent survivor by interior standards.
By the way... Did you ever finish your two tone cab? Did the seat material I sent you from my two-tone red 54 end up being usful?

Hello, Josh,

Thanks for reminding me about the material that you sent to me.
Thank you very much, again.

Yes, we used that material to match-up with original material found in a west coast warehouse.
It was used to cover a set of rare one-year small-truck optional Unison "Ride-Control" front seats.

Maybe Greg Hill will reply here.
Greg is a very knowledgeable a 1954 guy, who helps me with 1954-matters - and he helped me with the Unison "deal".

Maybe the brown door panels were used with the Pearl Beige interior cabs?
What is the color of the metal strip/edge around the cardboard?

Good luck with your truck/restoration.

I don't know. My truck had blue two tone interior and I found the original blue frames still on the panels that have been covered with vinyl and I guess somewhat preserved. Roger James truck was two tone interior but he would be a good source to question through the VCCA. There used to be a guy that has since passed that restored a 55 1st that he claimed was the world's most perfectly restored 55 1st back in the 80s. His name was Glenn Rusch and restorer was a guy named Gael Epps I believe. Last time I spoke with Glenn, he said he had sold the truck and it was in a museum on the upper west coast somewhere. I think Bob Adler may have info on color? Good luck.

I contacted a fellow several years ago that works for Jay Leno. He told me that 1954-3100 had a low metallic base brown. I could not nail it down so I painted it with Rust-Oleum hammered brown, has a metallic finish. Looks ok for now. Doc

Currently making 1954 3100 better than new and Genetics
