The engine was equipped with the serpentine belt system. The right hand side has the a/c mount and air pump. Did Chevy make serpentine mount for the right side that only had the a/c mount? I am not going to be using the air pump and would like to have a mount designed only for the a/c pump.
The left hand side had the mount for the alternator and the power steering pump. I will be using the power steering pump from a 81 1-ton Chevy dually and would like to know if it will bolt in place of the power steering pump from the Camaro.

So I am figgering that it is a year model thing. Here is the 92 setup(still have it). This system will fit your small bock and they are all the same with or without A/C. The non A/C system uses an idler pully in place of the A/C pump. You will want to get the hole system though it can be a nightmare mismatching parts. Also a lot of the serpentine systems use a water pump that spins backward if this is the case you wil need the water pump too. P.S. the 4.3 water pump will also fit. you should be fine unless you need short water pump it dose not exist in reverse rotation. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,249 "Hey! Joe, you've gotta a point about not making to many different styles of brackets. Makes good sense from an inventory/parts perspective. Thats good news on the power steering pump. Since it is also going to power the brake booster I want to use the one from the 1-ton dually. Besides its almost new!
I'm probably going to follow Grigg's method of mounting the hydraboost unit and brake cylinder under the floorboard with a remote mounted reservoir. Prior to seeing his photos I had always planned on changing pedals etc and mounting everything on the firewall. Seeing that you and Grigg have proven something can be adapted I think thats they way I want to go.
Brian, it looks like the idler on the middle left side replaces an idler. At least from the picture it appears that way.
HevyHauler, I did manage to get the complete set of mounting brackets although I noticed last night the the right hand unit has a couple of mounting tabs busted off. I'll either have to get them fixed or find a replacement. There is a good local machine shop that welds aluminum and I might have them fix them up.
