I have installed a 6.0 LQ4 (LS Family) motor and 4l80E into my 1958 Chevy Truck (6100 Viking)

The truck originally had a 235 with stomp starter. The current key switch doesn't have a crank position, does anyone know which part number I need to get a factory key switch that has a crank position? My key has Off and ACC. I tested another v8 58 Apache that turned over with the Key switch. The current motor and trans are running when I give 12v directly to the ignition wire from the battery.

Thank you.

You need to buy the so called V8switch and the tumbler/key that fits it. This switch has the far fight rotation momentary start position and springs back to run position.
If you need help in wiring this switch, let us know.

FIY: Your original "stomp" switch, On/Off, is worth some money.

I don't understand any of this "I tested another v8 58 Apache that turned over with the Key switch. The current motor and trans are running when I give 12v directly to the ignition wire from the battery."
But anyway, buy the switch I linked and all your wildest dreams will come true.

When they put the V-8 in my '47 they left the original switch and installed a push button starter switch right beside it. I can actually turn on the key and hit the starter with the knuckle of my middle finger at the same time.

That is a good idea but the V8 switch is more correct for 58.
