Posted picture of the problem spot. This is the handle mount for a C20 4 speed with propeller band brake. I just need to know how to remove what appears to be a clip that holds the brake handle in place. This is the pivot point on the body of the 4 speed.
Also, does anyone know of a spot on the internet with good parts available for this type of brake unit? Seems they used them for a long time. I want to replace the band as long as I am tearing it apart. thanks

Put a screw driver under the little raised tab on the clip and gently bend it up far enough to slide the back half of the clip off the shaft...try real hard not to over-bend and break the clip as I don't think you can get that style anymore.

It worked, just seemed to simple. There was a spring behind a bushing. Pushed in the bushing and was able to remove the clip in a short time. Looks like it will go back to it's old shape and be used again. thanks
