A 216 can be bored out .0625" and use 235 pistons, also. It becomes a 224 cubic inch when that is done. Jerry

At 2000 RPM, they're starting and stopping 33 times a second! Jerry

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,096 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,096 | That was my thinking Jerry , although this engine is new , I think swapping the original cast iron pistons for alloy has to be of benefit to the engine life , not that I'm ever going to wear it out (it's taken me over 23 yrs to do just 80,000 miles in this truck . I'm only doing the engine change due to massive cracked block in the original 216 . | | |
