The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline Power Brake Booster Conversion

Hi Everyone,

I realize this has been discussed numerous times and I've sifted through all the posts but I did not find what I was looking for.

On the CP website https://www.classicparts.com/1947-54-Power-Brake-Booster-Conversion-Drum_Drum/productinfo/71-903/

It mentions :"May require tubular transmission mount or the need to modify your original crossmember."

Does anyone have a picture of the modification they had to the original crossmember for clearance?

Additionally, any helpful tips from those that have done this modification would be greatly appreciated.

I'm building a 53 Chevy and ordered a power brake booster for my truck from Brothers, I think the space on the rear of where the booster mounts would hit the org cross member as opposed to putting in the tube cross member, I have a pic of mine but I'm new to here and can't figure out how to post this pic to this thread.
