My 1951 GMC 216 engine is near ready to drag Main. I've got about all the heavy lifting done. Now I've hit the wall. I've got a gas pedal and a good Carter carb. with nothing solid in between. I need some jimmy knowhow and hopefully some pictures. There's a little two piece swivel, and two pieces of rod, supposedly from the throttle arm on the carb and from the gas pedal, and a spring (in a basket). Has anyone got pics and info to help
Here's a shot of the linkage between the gas pedal (not there currently) and the crank on the side of the engine block, along with the links between it and the pedal and carb. This is from my '51 3100. Hope that helps.

klhansen, you are showing some help there, Can't quite see the swivel part, but looks like the correct line of the springs. appreciate!
klhansen. looks like we have something similar. I can't quite see the swivel in your photos, Still not sure if I have it all. Raining too hard to get to the barn right now but see some up to this. I'll let you know. Thanks!
Shop Shark, Your pics are some help. I can't quite see the swivel( a more knowledgeable feller calls it a bellcrank) but the spring local helps. Just not sure I have all this swivel thingamajig.
All right Showkey, I'll take my medicine! Don't know why I posted that my engine was a 216 c.i. It is and always has been a 228. I've been in conversation about a 216, a poor excuse. But, importantly at hand, the photos in your post show that I have all the pieces for my throttle linkage. I was even off on my spring arrangement. And I bet klhansen can benefit from the photos, I know I twisted and turned for some time trying to picture how the puzzle worked. Thanks for answering my little problem. Sure it won't be the last . On that note. someone have an opinion petronix (existing distributor) ignition?
den-den, do a Stovebolt search using the search in the bar right above this thread. No need to start another discussion on Pertronix. It’s already been beat to death. If you just can’t help yourself please start a new thread, maybe in the Electrical Bay Forum. Thanks
