A person from France, Alain, has contacted me, in hopes of ID-ing the wheels on his 1954 3104 pickup truck.

He wants to make sure the wheel/spare will mount correctly on the bed-side-spare tire mount.

It is a 6.50/16" tire.
My guess is that it will be OK, but:

A few photos are attached.
His wheel has 6 slots - I think the original 1954 16" wheel has 4 slots.

Here is an illustration from the 1954 Specifications Manual.

May be a European thing. I bet it will work.

Those are the 8 slot rims....originally correct for 1937 & 1938 Chevy cars.
The rims will fit the spare tire carrier but, the real indicator of any clearance problems will be tire size.

Tim,

He may want to check the offset and wheel width to make sure they are consistent with what is in your link, but Mother.Trucker is right, "the real indicator of any clearance problems will be tire size". Of course he will need to check for the 5 1/2" bolt circle as well. Looks right, but who knows.

I will say, checking the offset with the tire mounted on the rim (at least for me) was somewhat difficult. I found this out while looking for wheels for my truck.

I have a set of those on my '50. They are 4 1/2", 16" 6 lug. They fit just like the 4 slots which belong on it. I have tubeless radial tires on them. The original hubcaps fit perfectly. The centers protrude further than the 4 slot rims, but i do not think that this has any bearing on backspacing, but just a stylistic difference.
I have an extra one, but it is 4".
