Ive got a 1947 GMC 300, is the front axle the same as the 1 ton?
For example can i just order new front spindles for a one ton and install them so i can have an 8 lug bolt patttern or is there more to it than that?

Is the front axle 5 bolts and the rear 10, if so that setup is usually called 5/10 on 7.25" bolt circle, measure across bolts on rear to get diameter.
