I have the original Harrison rad in my 1952 -1 ton GMC 9430 pick up. Unfortunately it won’t hold water. Is it more cost effective to buy a replacement or take it to be re-cored. I’ve taken the frame off the rad to get it all cleaned up and if I can keep it close to original would be nice.
I need to get my heater core fixed as well.

It might be hard to find a place to recore, but that would be the way to keep it original.

Not sure where in southern Ontario you are but the rad guy in Lindsay is excellent. He likes seeing the old Harrison rads come in. He did both my rad and heater core.

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I’m just west of London.
I had a 57 Olds which I had re-cored at Ace in London. I’ll take it there to get a quote.
