Hello,
I have a question.
What is the need for the cover to which the arrow points? Look here: https://www.kripahle-online.de/unterricht/?page_id=2408
I ask this question cause I've forgot to screw on the housing befor I fix it to the engine block. Is it absolute nessesary to fix this cover to the gear housing?

The world won't end if you leave that cover off, access port, keeps dirtout. Can fix it later, preferably before mounting in chassis, might not have access without removing floorboards/tin from inside of vehicle.

Unless you're doing a lot of driving in muddy off road conditions, there shouldn't be any problem with the cover being missing.

It’d take you 5 minutes to make one with some snips and some 18 or 20 gauge sheet metal and a drill.
