I picked up a rear end for my '51 from what I thought was a 67 Chevy half ton. Well, it's one of the rare rear ends that is a Dana 44 with 3.54 gears and is a posi-trac. That all works out great, but the drums are shot and they don't make them anymore. So I figured why not, we'll just swap it over to disc. But I cant use the kits for the trucks since it has a Ford 9" Big Axle flange pattern. And on top of that I want to keep the 6x5'5" bolt pattern since I've already converted the front to 6 Lug Disc. I found a forum thread where someone machined down a Wagoneer Drum to make it work, but I don't like the idea of having to get custom drums if I ever need them. Has anybody ran into this or have any suggestions? I'd prefer to have bolt on since I don't have access to a welder and can't weld myself. Thanks for any help on advance

There is an old post on using Jeep drums & drilling out the lug bolt holes, will try to find it.

Found the thread, looks like he used a Raybestos 2067 and had to drill out the lug bolt holes. Somehow I missed that thread, I'm going to get one of those ordered in, thank you!

I have my daughters 03 Chevy Trailblazer that I'm doing some engine work. It has rear disc and 6 lug bolt pattern, has anyone looked at using this axle or the brake set up?

We have used the Trailblazer which has a 62.1" track width which is spot on for an AD. Have also used the Colorado/Canyon which also fits well. On some late model six lug patterns the pattern is metric and almost works but not quite.

Could you post a link to that thread? Been looking for it but I don't seem to have much luck with search function.

Not sure why you say rare or can't find? PM me if you need help finding.
