Hi Group. I’m embarrassed to say that I did not mark where these brackets are from and I cannot remember. Can someone please help me identify what they are from and where they go?
Hambone, just a note on aftermarket door checks, should verify that they actually stop door before hitting cowl extension, upon final assembly of my 66 realized aftermarket stop didn't limit door before paint was damaged on door, replaced with original and problem solved, except for knick in paint, Pat66
Hi, Your second part is a busted door check retainer. Keep it until you get the new one to make sure the new one lines up with your current configuration. There should be a small bar with a roundish hole on one end and a roll pin, and 2 screws/bolts as well. The picture above is correct, the piece you have that's busted is the part that isn't painted body color. Good luck.
Since we are talking about door checks for a 60-66 truck, here is a DIY I made. A Jeep Cherokee door check is a popular upgrade because it has two detents. It’s just another option to consider. JEEP CHEROKEE DOOR CHECK LINK
Great info as always 👠Lugnutz, do I need a right and left or are both sides the same? I will be keeping this idea in my toolbox for next project. Pat66

Pat66, Get 2 passenger side front door checks because the PS usually gets less use. The DS and PS door checks are identical. Rear door checks only open to the full stop position. Front door checks have that middle detent.
