I want to lower the front of my panel some, and will probably use lowering blocks. I have read to use steel ones as aluminum ones can crack. If anyone is using blocks already, I'd like to hear how it worked out.

Lowering blocks in the rear is easy and preferred.

Front lowering 2.5” lowering spring kit or drop axle is better choice.

Why are blocks bad to put on the front?

I used 4" blocks in the rear, and 4" drop axle on mine.
No probs.

The springs are on top of the front axles. There is therefore nowhere to put blocks to lower the front axle.

Thank you for clarifying that for me. This is, by far, the oldest car I have worked on yet, and I'm still learning my way around it..
