Have/ are any of you used/ using a Daytona Parts Co. UN2 carburetor on their 216 or 235? They advertise in some of the car magazines. They stress that their carburetor is fully ethanol resistant. If anyone has any experience please share. Thanks.

I may try one some day. the thought of having a brand new carburetor is quite enticing. The V8 folks have this opportunity but not us with the lowly sixes.

I've heard they make a good paperweight- - - -almost as good as a Rochester! It's a "one size fits none" made in some 3rd. world rathole by unskilled labor.

Tell that to Henry Ford, Walter P. Chrysler, Charles Kettering, John Moses Browning, Eugene Stoner, and Bill Ruger!

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air
The most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify.

Anyone into old westerns?

From "The Big Country" when Gregory Peck is about to mount Old Thunder, and he asks advice from Alfonso Bedoya. The response "DON'T DO IT!!!!!"

The advice is applicable to this thread!

And if you haven't seen the movie, it (opinion) is a great one!

Thanks for all responses. I was not aware of any previous threads on this subject. In fact I only learned of the carb a few days ago. I understand the idea of "one size fits none." smile

A friend has several war time Opel trucks with the German version of the 216. He used the Daytona on both and they work great.
