I signed up on this site about eight years ago and then the rest of my life happened.
I finally gave up on the idea that I and my son was going to be able to work together and restore "Floyd" my 1946 3/4 ton Chevy pickup. I had it towed out of the barn to a well respected mechanic to rebuild the engine and put in a new wiring harness.
I have few mechanical skills, but I love old trucks and intend to drive Floyd with great joy and pride for the rest of my life.
I need a wiring harness,maybe a new engine or rebuilt and lot of other parts. I also have lots of extra part that I can trade, sell or pass on to other Stovebolters.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Ronnie, check out the "side lot", there is a forum for the west coast. There are many small jobs you can do yourself with just a small tool box. Check you tube for videos, they have one for just about everything. Otherwise, ask about the task in the appropriate forum on the 'bolt.

Very expensive, and excellent quality, cloth-covered original-appearance wiring harnesses are available from several vendors.
Lower-priced excellent quality plastic-coated harnesses are also available.

Ask for names/opinions of vendors, if you need them.
