I enjoyed meeting face-to-face many Stovebolters that I only knew/know by their handles.
And, I enjoyed seeing many bolters who have grayed/thinned as much as I have (since we last saw each other)'

Too bad for me (and others) that my face/name memorizing abilities are progressively diminishing with age.

It was nice to learn a lot about stovebolt six "lore"; and to see the creative things that many members have done with/on/in their trucks.

If I had to pick the most interesting truck/feature (modification) that I saw: easily it was the installation of the 235-Corvette triple-carburetor assembly.

Sorry about having to leave early. I had a smooth and relatively fast ride home (about 6.5 hours), with only one short-stretch/time of very slow traffic.

"Thank You" to everyone . . .

As always, it was an awesome time linking up with my Bolt Brothers. Thanks to Billy for once again maintaining order and discipline in the camp area. A special surprise was the arrival of "Sir John" to the festivities. Always great to see Cosmo, Grigg, Mike R, Mike B, Joe, DJ, and numerous other "old timers". It was also great to meet several "newer" members as well. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the MIA's and how they were missed. Sweet and "The Bone" have always been main ingredients at all ODSS functions and the event wasn't the same without them. Great job to all involved and I'm looking forward to the next event.

It was good to see everyone and to make it make to Winchester! 17 trucks by my count.

Highlight for me, after all the great fellowship with such a great group of hombres, was seeing Billy's 860 in its first public showing! And getting to take her for a spin out on the open road didn't stink, either ...

Good time, good renewal. Thank to all who made it a wonderful event! GREAT to see everyone. You humble me with your friendship.

As always, it’s by far my second best weekend that I look forward to every year, only followed by Homecoming! Seeing all my fellow, passionate, Old Chevy Truck enthusiast’s that I can truly call friends, is the highlight!

John,( panel fan) glad you had a uneventful trip back, I tried to wave to you at Carlisle, but those Darn busses trying to merge made that impossible.

I really had great time in Winchester. It was my first time at this truck show and I was impressed in many ways. I always know that any time I can get together with this fine group of folks, it's tough to explain how great it really is ! Billy and Pat had enough cool trucks there to impress any one with a passion for old iron ! I hated to leave early but I'm wrapped up in some very large projects with my Business. Next year I'll stay until they make me leave. I can't wait to see everyone again !

Another great Tri-State truck show. I am always amazed at how I look forward to this show all year, it finally gets here and it seems to be over in a blink of an eye. As has already been said, the folks that could not make it this year were certainly missed. I think Mr Sweet would have been right there with us in the midnight breakfast (awesome job DJ!) meeting next to George's coach Friday night. It was entertaining for sure.
Very special thanks to Joe for the awesome photography. I will proudly hang my picture on my Stovebolt wall in the shop.

Really great seeing Mr. Milliman back in Winchester! We had a great crowd in Camp Stovebolt this year and I am thankful for all that made it.
I got a really nice text from Scott Shifflett yesterday afternoon. For those that don't know, he is the President of the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the ATHS (one of the 3 show hosting chapters) and he is a big reason why, through his personal effort and hard work, that that show is such a success every year. (he's also the guy that shows up to camp after supper with the frozen bottle of peach brandy!). He wanted to reach out to us Stovebolters and thank us for our attendance. He said, "please pass the word, you guys are great!
I hope there are others that took some pictures and will share them as I seemed to have failed in this regard.
Well, nothing left but some cleanup and some great memories. Can't wait until next year.

Fellow Stovebolters,

As I sat aside on Saturday afternoon preparing notes for a speech I never gave I wondered, like Billy Marlow, how the time had gone by so quickly. I arrived with Grigg about Thursday noon to the all-too-familiar welcoming U-shaped corral formed by Camp Commandant Billy Marlow, Mike Roach, Artie, and Josh, hand shakes and good-to-see-yous ensued. Our home for the next few days!

We all know that none of this camaraderie and friendship is possible without Peggy and John Milliman starting this great adventure nearly 25 years ago (Cosmo calendar math)! Billy Marlow has been in the Stovebolt site for 19 years in November and I trail him by a couple months in January. What an addition to my life the Stovebolt world has been! Lifetime friendships with more friendships formed every year!

Alas, several of our favorite 'ice cream flavors' (a nod and a wink to Master Ice-Cream Maker Grigg) were absent including Hambone, Sweet, Alec, Victor, Phillip, Chris (ndkid),Tim Pryor and others who could not make it. Take heart fellow Bolters and ODSS Gentlemen, you were with us in spirit and often in our conversations.

I spent a goodly amount of time (wish it were more) talking with Pop, (DJ Druckenmiller's father). He is a fascinating, intelligent man with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Using Pop as an example, take time out to introduce yourself to someone new in your own community or at our next get-together and learn from an experience different from your own. You will be rewarded with payment in kind of an equally rapt listener to hear of your own successes/failures/trials.

I was so impressed by hearing many people say how much they enjoyed the ATHS/Stovebolt experience this year and are eager for Spring Homecoming.

I just realized that my truck has never made it to homecoming under it's own power! My first year, we started it, with complications and I smiled for 6 months. Second time, I blew the engine 32 miles into my trip. I guess I need to do a road trip!

Beautiful photo! Except for John's panel, looks like an AD convention. Nevertheless, a great photo that represents the beautiful time that all had, I'm sure.

Cosmo -- Just a note: In the biz, that's called an "image" not a photo. It's actually three photos and the work of several photographers (Brother Marlow did the sky shot). All I really did was break out the scissors, crayons, glue and the eraser and monkey around a bit -- pretty much what we all did in 1st Grade art class. When Joe sends me his superior high rez compositions from Der Uber Camera, I can do better.

So wouldnt it be, "three images" and the work of "several imagegraphers"......just sayin

I got home faster - but, I missed the "cool" (and safety) factor of travelling in a group.

I agree with Patt66 , in numbers in the 60 to 66 crowd , AKA post AD design we were under represented , but in shear mass we held our own .
