I want to mount it on a small block V-8 (327). Does anyone make a mounting bracket for this style of compressor for small block V-8? Otherwise, if anyone has a York compressor on a V-8, can you post or email photos so I can see what to look for at a swap meet? Thanks for the help.

One is aluminum & one is cast iron. I have forgotten which is which. It seems there should be some of these around the old salvage yards. All the aftermarket A/C units used them. They will be for the short water pump though.

Lots of dealers installed them in their shops, as well as repair shops and garages. Does it have a brand name on it? Do you know what it came out of? What do you plan to use it in?
Once I saw an eBay truck, 54 Chevy if I remember correctly, that had an underdash A/C system on it. Maybe someone posted a picture of it on Stovebolt... years ago. Sorry, not necessarily germane to this discussion.

The compressor and brackets are in the bed but I could snap some pix if desired. The owner probably has no more use for the setup as he is going with the Sanden compressor on the new engine. It's pretty obvious where the brackets fit on the engine if it is all still bolted together.

Pretty neat under dash unit that will look good in the 57. I will probably just go with a newer compressor if I can't easily find brackets for this York. Might just hold onto the York for adding onboard compressed air when I get back to my 59 1-ton project. Thanks!

Looks like the only part left is the compressor and the bracket that holds the idler pulleys.
