It is just barely reachable with your hand thru the window opening at the top and the hinge access plate on the bottom.
Has anyone had this issue? Drill the spot weld out by drilling from the hinge side. Don't drill thru the channel. Jam the channel in position with a piece of wood and plug weld the hole you drilled.
