I love these kind of stories. I am jealous it is not about me. I recently called my cousin in West Virginia. As a kid I always remembered an early 40's truck sitting in the barn of the family farm my dad grew up on. I always wondered what happened to it and after 50 years had the optimism of someone who had just bought a lottery ticket. I thought there was a chance, just ,maybe it was still there. The farm has been in the family for about 150 years but I had not been there for over 30. As you would expect, it was gone. My cousin told me someone came to look at it, interested in restoring it. It had rusted so bad there was nothing worth salvaging. At worse I had hoped someone had restored it and they spot it every once in a while around town but it is gone forever. The barn find depicted in the video is my ultimate dream. I love the history of these trucks, family farms and family. Great story.
That was outstanding, just might watch it again for a smile

Thanks, MT - that is an uplifting video for real stovebolt engine lovers. At least it went out in magnificent die-hard flaming glory.
Read the remarks posted under the video that MT posted the link-to. A lot of self-righteous people, who probably never bothersd (or, would bother) to save/resurrect a good old 216 engine.
Flaming Die-Hard Glory is better than being put out back to rust until it is un-revivable, when a high-pressure 235/261 replaces it (or, even worse, when a "modern" engine sullies the engine bay).
Louisiana Red dirt Highway.. Sometimes getting lost is a good thing. On the way to Stovebolt HQ I made a wrong turn and got off a major road on to a well done secondary road in southern Ohio, I think. Narrow but well paved with a lot of o twists and turns and gentle hills.
