I had ordered a replacement for the cracked reed in my air compressor. Went back this past saturday and the shop guy says "Thats a non-replaceable part. You'll have to order a whole new compressor and motor assembly." Just as my heart sank into my shoes, he reaches under the desk and pulls out a replacement cylinder head and gives it to me. for free.
So I swap heads on my compressor, and now it buzzes right up to 125 psi and shuts off fine.
So I'm thinking this is a good omen for the weekend. Sunday morning I break out the 235 block and wash it down with hot water and soap. I wipe it out and fog with WD-40. Do the same to the crank. I put on my gloves and break out the main bearing shells.
Wrong main bearings. F#*# a duck.
So now I'm waiting on the correct mains for a '60 235.
the saga continues.

Whatever y'all do, please don't come help me. I'm now entering the sixth week of my one week project on my 69, disc brakes and lowering. Right now I'm waiting on the correct trailing arm bushings to come.
