What are you guys running for a gas pedal? My truck still has the original pedal in the floor but the rod or whatever hooked to it is gone. Is there easy parts to use it or is there an easy aftermarket pedal that works good in this truck? Thanks

Mine still has the original, can't recommend anything other than LoKar stuff.

Search Ebay, shouldn't be hard to find part, usually nothing works like the factory parts. Good luck

Is your truck a 6-cylinder or V8 model? The linkages are different...

Place a wanted ad here on the Bolt...that shouldn't be a hard part to find used.

My truck is a 6cy truck. Putting a v8 in. Be nice to keep the factory pedal. I need to try to look up what the linkage looked like.

Hi gear. If I understand correctly, you are looking for the bracket and rod linkage that attaches to the fire wall and connects your existing pedal to the carb. The one for a v8 is different than a v6. The linkages are the same for pick ups because they share the same cab. Pick you favorite aftermarket truck restoration supplier and they should be able to hook you up. I purchased mine from Luttys Chevy Warehouse in Saxonburg Pa.
I believe you will find dimples on the firewall where you will need to drill new holes for the v8 bracket if your truck came with a v6 originally.

Here's what you need for the V8 Throttle linkage.

Cool thanks mike. I’d rather stick with stock, probably best anyway. Is there a short cable that runs off that to the carb. Maybe I can find a view of it on lmc or something.

Hi Gear. The linkage in the link that Mike sent you is all you need. It connects to the pedal and directly to the carb. It is a reproduction of the original.

Can this be installed with the motor already in? I wasn’t sure if anything mounted behind the Motor that had to be drilled.

Might be a two man job, but I believe you can do it. Drill the two holes just above the gas pedal at the dimple's and bolt it in. If I remember correctly (it's been a few years) I had to take the repro linkage apart and reassemble it as it came wrong from China, so pay attention.
