I'm finally getting after the interior of my truck and have some questions regarding the INTERIOR windshield molding and trim.

The center piece of the window frame is black, is this correct?

The windshield frames are painted silver. Were these SS or painted? If painted, what color?

The top and bottom trim pieces (each held in place with one screw) that cover the frames and center piece appear to have been painted, but have surface rust. What color should these trim pieces be?

Pictures are appreciated.

Thanks for the help,

Andy

I seem to remember that all pieces were the interior color. Painted. No stainless as you don't want anything reflecting back at your eyes while you drive.

Andy,

This is the last ‘47 I owned, a well used farm truck, all trim was the same interior color. How do you tell if 47-48 trim is original? You look for the extra screw tab and decorative top/bottom finish trim (eliminated in early ‘49) this had them, never painted over.

A picture from ‘48, while not color, it is also not dark indicating uniform color.
