Is it worth saving? Seems to be in good shape. I have to buy it buy the pound. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | 420 or 465? Both are worth saving, can always part them out. Label that PTO if you remove it from the trans.

Old iron is always worth saving as they don't make it anymore... Mike B | | | | | Joined: Sep 2017 Posts: 23 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2017 Posts: 23 | I am not sure what a 420 or a 465 is. Oldest I have dealt with is a 1941 5 speed Clark. The Brownie does come with shifter. I opened it up and everthing looked good, no rust and shifted just fine. I will be picking it up on Tuesday and I will check casting dates then. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 267 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 267 | I might be interested in a Brownie with overdrive, if it was heavy enough for my 3 ton. Are you selling this?

Direct and underdrive. No overdrive. I do have a Brownie listed on the site everyone loves to hate, that does have overdrive. It came out of a International R-190. It is a Spicer Brown Lipe 6231 which has a .69 overdrive.

Though the 2 speed Warford brownie turned out to have a last patent date of 1926.
