I want to add a brake booster to Pops.
Now it's got a hanging pedal setup from a '73 chev pu and stopping quickly can make certain parts of my anatomy speed up and other parts clench. Question is- do I need to change the MC?
What do I look for for parts besides the booster?
Is there a choice as to the size?- I don't really want to want to sound like a novice ...

Master cylinders are specific to application........ manual ones are different than power ones. Yes, you should swap it over, make sure it's correct for your brake system design (disc/drum, drum/drum, disc/disc).
Hopefully you braced the firewall already to reduce flexing/cracking.
You may need different pushrod and mounting brackets, depends on what you have now.

It's pretty easy swap!

Thanks- that's about what I figured. will check for new/rebuilt parts for same year but with pb.
So far Ive replaced all brake components - just want the pedal to feel more like my other vehicles.
Yes, I did brace the firewall and dash.
