Hello I have a 1950 5 window and I was hoping to find some frontend options for it.. right now I have a straight axel but Id like to upgrade to a newer frontend. obviously there is a mustang 2 option, I have heard to do a s-10 frame swap, or I heard a gentleman on here had blueprints to make your own. what should I do and why?

The why starts with you. Why change the front end? How are you planning to use the truck?
A frame swap is a lot more than a bolt- in mustang 2, what is the overall frame condition?
A rebuilt stock axle with King pins, maybe lowered by Sid's , with modern shocks and even disc brakes, steering component upgrades, etc, gives a nice riding improvement.

Are the front springs worn out, or has somebody (lowered) the suspension already? That nose-low stance ... usually doesn't handle very well unless a lot of caster has been dialed in with axle wedges.

Big Sky -- Please allow me to translate for Jerry smile -- "Welcome to Stovebolt! We're glad you're here. And as our Granite State Brother has already said, if you could baseline us on the the current configuration (suspension and driveline -- looks like some work has already been done), we can better offer opinions for you to consider. "

As for me, those two trucks look pretty cool together. That style Ford always appealed to me.

Again, Welcome! I think you'll find that we have a wealth of knowledge and experience here for you to tap into. We have true experts here (some may need to work on their tact from time to time, however ... wink ) who should be able to help you noodle through whatever you want/need to do.

Regards,
John
