Getting ready to replace all the glass in my 1954 3600. What are the opinions out there? should I go tinted or clear?

It is your choice - both are available.

The original E-Z-Eye tinted option was, I think, a tint for the entire piece of glass (on any window, I think).

I have seen reproduction windshields that are tinted all over, with a darker shaded band at the top.

I have 1954 trucks with and without the E-Z-Eye glass. I have no opinion, based on experience, on saying that the difference is significant (but, it must have been, I guess).

Interesting , E-Z-Eye glass. So along with the tint question I suppose another would be which vendor is recommended. I too have a 1954 3600 that needs the front windshield replaced so I find this post from dad8084 to be of great interest. Thanks!

I went with tinted all around when i replced my glass..windshield has a darker tinted shade. I drove mine many years with clear glass.tinted is much easier on the eyes in the their sun...(3100 54) vendor? Glass shop for flat glass, supply old glass for a template, some will even have or can get paper templates. Windsield, usually glasshop(that does windshield) can get them, some times i have to wait for one thats been ordred.i have never needed to ordrer in from a resto parts suppjy.

On my 59 I had the dark tinted band across the top of the glass. I am 6-4 and that dark tinted band was always in the line of sight or split the line of sight with clear and tint. I found that band to be annoying and decided not to do that again.
