'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

If you're running a 230 or 250 engine the motor mounts on the frame will be in the right place, also. A 292 will have an offset mount on the passenger's side, but if you're running one of them already, why bother with the V8?

I don't think it was normally offered in the 1/2 ton trucks. C-30 and up would have been a more likely candidate for 292 power. They are rugged, powerful engines that will give a V8 a run for its money pulling a load, but they love their gasoline!
