OK..I am parting out a 46 Chevy 1.5 ton that I assume has the 216 in it. I pulled the valve cover and was going to list it online but something is confusing me..The other 216 covers I have seen either have no oil cap or the oil cap is at the front end of the cover..This on has the oil cap behind the front stovebolt..Anyone have any info about this??

I would look closely at the underside of the valve cover to look for where that oil fill bung was welded on.
'53 Corvettes (235) had the cap located similar to what you have, but it was located another inch or two toward the center.

That is an early 235 valve cover.

Check out the casting numbers to see what engine you have. If it is out of a 1.5 T it could easily be the low pressure 235.

Also look along the side of the pan, if it's a 235 the pan will have '235' stamped on the side. FYI
